Thought Leadership

Using Simple Thought Leadership To Build High Quality, Relevant Links

The Project

When we started working with Toner Giant, their link profile lacked one key element – relevancy.

While Digital PR campaigns had been run in the past they were predominantly quite broad and lacked specificity back to the brand and the product which is a key element of what Google looks for in a modern search campaign.

With this project, we wanted to take simple ideas through thought leadership and place the brand in front of its target market by giving relevant, useful information to the right audience. Through a range of thought leadership campaigns we were able to not only build important E-E-A-T signals for the brand, but also help to drive valuable, high quality links back into the website.

Our Approach

For this particular campaign we took something very close to the brand (printing) and created a range of valuable tips and advice for printing documents when travelling abroad. As we were planning to launch this over the summer season the campaign was both timely and relevant to a wide audience, hence likely to get good coverage and pickup.

We worked together with our printing experts to showcase handy advice for people looking to travel including:

  • Why should you print your boarding pass
  • Potential fines if you don’t
  • What to do with your boarding pass after your trip
  • How this can differ from country to country.

Overall the campaign was a huge success landing

Following a global IT outage which grounded thousands of flights and cancelled holidays just as the summer travel period began, Britons are now being warned about the importance of not always relying on technology when travelling.

Ryanair, Jet2, easyJet and TUI passengers heading to Turkey issued boarding pass warning

Experts are urging passengers to consider printing their boarding passes. In a digital age, flight boarding passes are one of many things that have largely migrated to our digital devices rather than being on piece of paper.

Boarding pass airport warning issued as summer holidays begin

Holidaymakers have been advised to make sure they print their boarding passes before heading to the airport. The warning comes after reports of confusion, a global IT outage and high charges for travellers.
