Jumping On A Reactive News Piece Around The Hot Topic Of Loft Insulation
The Project
To build brand authority and topical relevance, our work with Gaffsy involved jumping on topical property trends and putting our client at the centre of the conversation.
Over the winter period one of the most popular and talked about topics was loft insulation – with a cost of living crisis and everyone looking to keep their houses warm it was no surprise that this was widely covered across mainstream media. As a result we jumped on this trend to offer expert opinion, landing links for our client that were highly relevant to their niche.
Our Approach
Our initial approach to this was to identify what was trending within our weekly Reactive Newsroom & also to tie this into a high user intent angle – most specifically how people could save money by taking action on their loft insulation.
We tied this in with a timing trend – the week coincided with a time that a lot of people were putting Christmas decorations back into the loft – to give it a timely hook, in addition to the cost saving angle.
We worked together with the experts at Gaffsy to offer insight and expertise around how you could identify issues within loft insulation, specifically around gaps or patches when the roof was covered with frost/snow, we also offered advice on how insulation materials can deteriorate over time and how often these should be replaced.
As a result we garnered some great coverage ticking off all major dailies and driving strong brand awareness.
