Digital PR / Newsjacking / Data-led Campaigns

Capitalising on trending topics by offering expert data and comment.

The Project

Fletchers Solicitors is one of the UK’s leading law firms when it comes to serious injury, medical negligence and motorbike/cycling accidents.

As part of this project we were tasked with undertaking Digital PR on the website to help build and improve overall brand awareness while driving high quality links into the website that were closely related to key service areas of the brand, in this case Road Traffic Accidents.

The project was designed to use an innovative approach to drive coverage in a niche which can often be seen as quite difficult to gain coverage in and challenged us to think outside the box, to research what journalists were covering and uncover data and angles where we could add to this conversation.

Our Approach

Our initial approach was to research the market and find areas that both our client was relevant for and that were topical and trending. One popular area that has been topical and trending with journalists for a little while now is “little known fines” – we had seen this widely covered within the media and decided to approach this angle while weaving in Road Traffic Accidents.

We researched little known fines that people could fall victim to without knowing the rules and made choices that would appeal to a wider population while also attracting interest through some large fine figures (particularly valuable approach in the current cost of living crisis). We then outreached this to a targeted media list.

The campaign was a huge success landing over 60 links including 6 national newspapers with a close link back to Road Traffic Accidents.
